A GC member personally put eight spider rings and eight stickers bearing letters on the eight non-thumb fingers of one team member. (You've seen these rings before as cheap prizes at Halloween parties.) Many of the spiders' legs were cut off.

This puzzle works much, much better in person, but here's a paper version. Ignore slight variations in leg length and positioning; all that matters is whether each leg is long or short.
